Jesus meets his mother. What can I say for you, to what compare you, O daughter Jerusalem? To what can I liken you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter Zion? For vast as the sea is your ruin; who can heal you. (Lamentations2:13)

A woman wipes the face of Jesus. He had no form or majesty that we should look at him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity. (Isiah53:2-3)

Jesus falls for the second time. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. (Isiah 53:7)

Jesus falls for the third time. I am one who has seen affliction under the road of God's wrath; he has driven and brought me into darkness without any light; against me alone he turns his hand, again and again, all day long. Though I call and cry for help, he shuts out my prayer. (Lamentations 3:1-3,8)

So they put a sponge full of the wine on a branch of hyssop and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had recieved the wine, he said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Jesus is laid in the tomb. Now there was a garden in the place where he was crucified, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid. And so, because it was the Jewish day of Preparation, and the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there. (John 19:41-42)
