Ministries:
- The Episcopal Parish of Alton is a designated Jubilee Center
Community Outreach Ministries include:
- Weekly support of interdenominational food and clothing pantry
- Front door ministry of financial aid to persons in need
- Participation as shelter site and shelter hosts for interdenominational shelter ministry to homeless families
- Support with special programs, aid and hospitality to the local shelter for abused women
- Host site for AA group
- Open door policy on free use of facilities for not-for-profit community groups
- Leadership position in revitalization of the city center through the local Main Street Organization
- Community Outreach through summer concerts in parish garden
- Active parish nurse program
- Mail ministry to the sick and shut in of the parish
- Active newcomer assimilation and welcome ministry
- Active Episcopal Church Women's group and three guilds
- Episcopal Church Men's group organized for fellowship, fund raising and service to the parish
- Leisure Friends - Extensive entertainment, tourism and fellowship for senior citizens - approximately 200 members and twice monthly events (by charter only 50% membership can be Episcopal)
- Program for youth in grades 6 through 12
- Fellowship for young adults
